I love Bandung food

English Bahasa Indonesia

The same western food dish in Thailand will taste different to the same western food dish in Indonesia because western food dishes are all influenced by local tastes and cultures. Even when the chef is a foreigner preparing his own home country cooking, the final dish will rarely taste the same as the same dish in his home country.

So don't expect to get the same taste as 'at home'!

Having said that, there are some exceptional restaurants that do deliver the results. We have found just two such in Bandung - find them below.

Travel to Bandung and eat Western Food

My Little Kitchen

Interesting mix of Dutch and Indonesian menu choices in a truly relaxing environment.

Wind Chime

Jalan Sawungguling No. 10A

Tel: 022 423 9963

Yes, its the only one in Bandung! Save up your dollars, pounds, won, yen, euros and rupiah and spend it on glorious western style food in a lovely restaurant set in an old Dutch colonial building.

Tucked away off Jalan Dago, it is not so easy to find but well worth the effort to see on a Bandung menu "black truffle, Petuna Ocean Trout, Wagyu beef with grade 9 plus, baby lamb rump, and foie gras". Wines, of course, also available so keep saving - reckon on a minimum of Rp 1,000,000 for two. But nowhere else in Bandung like it.
